My name is Lauren Muir, and I am a Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in both the medical and aesthetic fields. My journey into medicine began at the age of 15, when my younger brother was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Witnessing the profound impact nurses had on his care ignited my passion for the medical field and instilled a deep desire to help others in their times of need.

I began my career at Primary Children’s Medical Center and Intermountain Medical Center, where I gained invaluable experience. During this time, I also faced my own personal struggles with hormone imbalances, which manifested as fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, hair loss, anxiety, and exercise intolerance. Despite my challenges, I found that attempts to seek help through the traditional medical system were often frustrating. I was frequently told I wasn’t “sick enough” to be taken seriously. This led to three heartbreaking miscarriages during my second trimester. It was during this difficult time that I finally found a nurse practitioner who truly listened to my concerns and took my symptoms seriously, rather than solely relying on test results. After receiving the appropriate treatment, I was able to have three beautiful, healthy children. This transformative experience sparked my passion for functional medicine, particularly hormone replacement therapy, and reinforced my belief that I treat people, not just textbooks and test results.

I went on to earn a Master’s degree from Simmons University and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. As I approached my 30s, discussions about aging and skincare became more common among my friends. They often sought my recommendations based on my nursing background, which sparked my interest in the aesthetics industry. This led me to work alongside talented facial plastic surgeons, where I gained advanced knowledge of facial anatomy, safe practices, and how to achieve natural-looking results.
